Case study · Capitol Valley Towing
A towing website built around one thing: the phone call
- Client
- Capitol Valley Towing LLC
- Industry
- Towing & roadside assistance
- Location
- Carmichael / Sacramento, CA
- Scope
- Copy, design, build, photos
The starting point
Capitol Valley Towing has run flatbeds out of Carmichael since 2010. They tow everything from daily drivers to Bugattis, classics and farm equipment.
The old site was a template: a grey photo, a small phone link and one long paragraph listing every town in the county. On a phone at the side of the road, the one thing that matters, the number, was hard to find.
What we built
A dark, high-contrast site built around the call. The number is in the top bar, the header and the first screen, and a live open/closed indicator tells you whether they're answering right now.
Their own photos replace the stock imagery: the Bugatti on the flatbed, the trucks around town, the car shows. Services are organized the way drivers think about them: what kind of vehicle, and whether you need a tow at all.
The details
- Tap-to-call in the top bar, header and hero
- Open/closed status that updates by the hour
- Services by vehicle type: motorcycles, classic and exotic, heavy duty, specialty, long distance
- Roadside help (lockouts, fuel, jump starts, flats) for drivers who don't need a tow
- A three-step cash-for-cars flow: get a quote, schedule pickup, get paid
- Trust signals up front: licensed and insured, no hidden fees, locally owned
